I am a wife, mom, entrepreneur, infopreneur, runner, holistic nutritionist, clinical herbalist, doula, and wellness coach.
My passion is to teach women how to take charge not only of their health but, the health of their families and community.
What I enjoy most about coaching is that I can relate to my clients. I understand their struggles because I too have some of those same struggles.
None of us are perfect and that is fine. My goal is to make sure that my clients have the knowledge they need to live abundant lives. I want to make holistic wellness easier, not complicated and stressful.
My journey started several years ago. I was obese, a smoker, a couch potato and stressed. One day I watched the documentary Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead and it changed my life. By juicing and slowly changing my eating habits, I lost 50 lbs and stopped smoking.
Armed with clear skin and less stress, I started reading book after book to gain more knowledge. I learned about different herbs and their benefits. After "practicing" on my family for a few years, I was ready to take my studies to another level and truly learn the power that proper nutrition and herbs have in our lives.
I have studied under Sam Coffman of The Human Path and Lori Rose Valentine of the Hill College Holistic Wellness Pathway. Both of these programs have allowed me to bring a wealth of expertise and knowledge to my clients. I also hold a Bachelors degree in Sociology as well as an MBA and an MHRM.
As a holistic wellness practitioner, learning is a lifelong journey as information in this field is ever changing.
I have been a runner for several years and I have completed several 5k, 10k and a handful half marathon races. I understand the importance of physical exercise! We must get and keep our bodies moving.
When I am not nose deep into a client's protocol, reading a good book on a Biology topic, training for a race, or chasing after my 5 children, I am in my urban garden. I love to garden as it is a major part of my self-care routine! I also love to cook. I find ways to get more nutrients into everyday meals and I make sure to pass that information along to you.
